FAVOUR FINDS TO REDEFINE

Bible Meditation:
Exodus 2: 1-10

I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: – Psalm 89:20

God’s favour finds us to redefine our lives and destinies. He finds the pauper and redefines his destiny to that of a prince; the barren to that of a joyful mother (Psa.113:7-9). His favour found baby Moses by the brink of the Nile and ultimately situated this Hebrew child – an offspring of Levi – as a Prince in Pharaoh’s palace. Decades later, favour again found Moses at the backside of the desert and transformed the lonely shepherd into a firebrand Prophet and Israel’s deliverer (Exo.3:1-4).

Favour found David where he was keeping the family’s flock, anointed and lifted him to distinction, prominence and royalty (1 Sam.16:11). Suddenly, the boy who was despised by his relatives, the one who could never have been presented for election to be king, became a celebrated person. Up till today David remains the epitome of kingship in Israel.

Favour singled out Namaan for healing, out of the many lepers in Samaria in the time of Elisha (2Kgs.5:1-14; Lk.24:47). The favour of God can single you out for a miracle as it did blind Bartimaeus (Mk.10:46-52). A great multitude followed Jesus out of Jericho, but favour singled out for a miracle this blind man who was by the highway side begging! He received his healing and favour redefined his destiny – from darkness and destitution to miraculous manifestation. There was a multitude by the pool of Bethesda. Jesus came there and saw a man who had been in his condition of deformity for thirty-eight years. The Face of Favour shone on that man, approached him, healed him and left the place. There were several others in need of help, but divine Favour singled out that man for a miracle (Jh.5:2-9).

Favour found Saul of Tarsus on the road to Damascus, delivered and turned the persecutor into an Apostolic Pillar in the early Church, a trail-blazer in kingdom missions and a holy spectacle unto his world. Favour singles you out of a crowd. It doesn’t matter the multitude that are gathered, the favour of God like a laser beam will simply zero in on you and say ‘You are called and chosen…You will be changed for My Glory!” You may not understand why or how these would be, because divine favour is not subject to human explanations! Simply cooperate by faith and let the Author of Favour perfect His Will in your life. Remember: Favour finds us to redefine our destinies for the best!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
