FAITH TO FACE YOUR FUTURE

Bible Meditation:
2 Kings 4: 19-37

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were – Romans 4:17

Faith is in three tenses: past, present and future. As 2 Corinthians 1:10 says: “Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us.” By faith, we believe that God has delivered us, is delivering us and shall continue to deliver us! Alas, the past is spent and gone. The present is a passing moment of time. The future is where the rest of your life resides. Regardless of what you have done in your past, your future has been redeemed because of Christ's sacrifice. Though you cannot change or re-write the past, you can make today the day of liberty. In the light of faith, you can revisit your past with the light of hope, and say good-bye to reproach, regret and shame.

You can begin to shape your future and embrace who God created you TO BE and what He created you TO DO, simply by facing the future by faith. The more you long for the future, the less you will yearn for the past. Hope deletes regrets and underlines expectations. Hope diminishes drag and increases momentum. And faith is the substance of hope!

God is not surprised by your tomorrows. Nobody else, even the best loving parent, can look into your future and prepare you for what lies ahead and how to overcome it. However, believing in the Lord Jesus assures us that He is in control, that He is good, and that a glorious future awaits all who anchor their hope and focus their faith on Him. No one can be more responsible for your future than you, under God. Stop transferring responsibility for your future to others. Begin to face your future squarely by your faith! The legitimate question is – How?

Your future has been forecasted in the Word of God: “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Pro.4:18). The worlds were framed by the Word of God (Heb.11:3). The same Word should begin to establish the image of unseen things programmed for your future (2 Cor.4:17-18). You cannot allow circumstances and the cares of life to create images of a negative future within you. By the Word you can change things that are “seen” and that you do not desire, into things that you do desire: change the seen and shape the unseen! You change the seen with God’s Word. You shape the unseen by calling things that are not as though they were! Your tomorrow is in your thoughts and on your tongue. Begin to declare your tomorrow today!

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I do not know all that tomorrow holds, but I know that You hold my tomorrows. Help me to face and shape my future by faith and obtain all of Your promises in Jesus name.

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
