DIVINE PROFIT (4)

“...Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” – Luke 5:5b

Strategic Partnership is a crucial prerequisite for DIVINE PROFIT: “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” And when they had done this, they caught a great number of fish, and their net was breaking” (Luke 5:5-6). Divine Profit manifests when human expertise surrenders to God’s Authority and Divine Direction, erasing frustration, and turning an empty night of human labour and absolute failure into a morning of unprecedented overflow.

Simon Peter and his partners – professional fishermen – had just endured a frustrating, exhausting night shift trying to fish on the shores of Gennesaret. They had caught absolutely nothing, and as they washed their empty nets in dejection, Jesus stepped into Simon’s boat, using it as a platform to preach to the crowd. After ministering, Jesus issued an unusual command to Simon: “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch” (v.4). Peter’s response exposes the limits of human sweat. “Toiled all night" represents professional expertise, strategic planning, and rigorous effort operating independently of God, and yielding zero profit. However, Peter’s “nevertheless at Your word” shifted the equation. Divine Profit is activated when we replace limited human labour with Word-driven obedience.

A Net-breaking encounter followed! A single instruction from Christ can instantly deliver a harvest that human struggle could not achieve in a lifetime. Before Peter got the fish, he gave Jesus his boat. To experience supernatural profitability in our lives’ endeavours, we must yield our platforms to the Lord, for Him to become the Centre and Beneficiary of our boats. Moreover, we must move past former failures and not allow the "empty nets" of yesterday to stop us from launching out today. When God commands a new move, historical disappointments become irrelevant. Above all, we must be ready for strategic collaboration: The catch was so massive that Peter had to signal his partners for backup (v.7). Divine Profit will expand our territory so drastically that we would need a trusted network to manage the overflow.

When your expertise hits a wall, let your faith lean on His Word. The deep things of God always respond to obedience.

As I walk in the reality of Divine Performance, seasons of fruitless toil and cycle of working hard but having nothing to show for it are over.

Every area of stagnation in my life receives a supernatural turnaround. My blessings overflow exceedingly with kingdom partnerships.

At the Word of the Lord, I cast away the spirit of weariness and disappointment, launching out into my deep for breakthrough harvests.

I yield my life to Christ’s Lordship and service, and receive the courage of the Holy Spirit to obey instructions that defy human logic.

My nets will not break, and my boats will not sink; I have the capacity to sustain God's wealth, and testify of phenomenal Divine Profit.
