DIVINE POWER FOR IMPACT (6)

“And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the SPIRIT and of POWER” – 1 Corinthians 2:4

The supernatural spiritual dimension is the foundation of DIVINE POWER for IMPACT: “And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the SPIRIT and of POWER” (1 Cor.2:4). There are natural and material realms, and supernatural, spirit-realms. God is supernatural. God is a Spirit (Jh.4:23). He commands all supernatural and natural powers. The supernatural realm operates above and beyond natural laws. This realm is invisible, but eternal – transcends time – and it exercises dominion over the natural. The supernatural is the root of every natural reality.

The supernatural however impacts positively or negatively. God leads the forces of good; while Satan, the devil, a fallen angel, drives the forces of evil. Originally Lucifer, this former angel of light fell due to sin, was cast down from heaven, and began his mission of counterfeiting or counteracting all that is of God! In essence, angels are positive spirits, while demons are negative. The natural answers to the supernatural. The supernatural God cannot be fully known by natural Man through intellectual means. Information about God can be intellectually known, but the invisible, supernatural Creator is known by Revelation!

God made human beings as supernatural “spirit beings”: “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over…” (Gen.1:26a). Through Satan’s subtlety however, humanity was dethroned from the supernatural realm, demoted to negativity, and driven out of Eden. Jesus came to restore humanity from a perishing state to the elevated status of supernatural life in God which Adam lost to Satan. Through the new birth, we can once again live supernaturally on earth. As new creatures in Christ, we have the divine, supernatural nature and can live by His power at work in us: “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the POWER THAT WORKS IN US” (Eph.3:20).

Our Lord Jesus Christ lived and walked in the supernatural. He empowered and mandated His disciples to do likewise: “Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them POWER and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases” (Lk.9:1).

We are called to be humble and faithful Stewards of God’s Supernatural Power, the knowledge of which is vital to a Life of Dominion and Triumph. We were created, and even now redeemed, as spirit beings. Our making is rooted in the supernatural.

For us to live in fulfillment on earth, we must understand the supernatural and have a working revelation of supernatural power. Knowing God in this realm is key to walking in Divine Power for Impact! It’s time to step out of the natural into the supernatural!
