Bible Meditation:
1 Peter 2: 1-10

That you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you OUT of DARKNESS into His marvelous LIGHT1 Peter 2:9b

A vital part of the Believer’s Transformational Testimony is that of being Translated FROM DARKNESS to LIGHT: But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you OUT of DARKNESS into His marvelous LIGHT(1 Pet.2:9). God is always complete in His purposes. He didn’t just bring us out of darkness; He transferred us into His Light. Darkness represents sin, death, evil and all the negativities associated with Satan. God has delivered us from the dominions of darkness, and catapulted us into His Light, before which darkness always bows: “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it” (Jh.1:5).

Paul, writing to the Colossian Christians, conveyed similar divine thoughts in thanksgiving: “giving thanks to the Father who has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” (Col.1: 12-13). God never leaves His own stranded. He always brings us out, to bring us in. We who are in Christ have been snatched out from the territories of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of the Son of God’s love. That’s where we are now! Sadly, a Christian who lacks this understanding could be wallowing in darkness, from where he’s already liberated. Such a person cannot walk in the authority of God’s dear Son!

We’ve been delivered from the dark dungeons of sickness, disease, depression, poverty, and frustrations, into the glorious life in Christ – the liberty of the sons of God: “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage” (Gal.5:1). We are domiciled in awe-inspiring Light, with no place for darkness in our lives. Our Lord Jesus affirms: “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life” (Jh.8:12b). We are children of Light: For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them” (Eph.5: 8-11).

God is the Father of lights (Jam. 1:17). “For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ” (2Cor.4:6). We see by Him; He’s our light. The Psalmist prophetically sang: “For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light” (Psa.36:9). Through the entrance of God’s Word that gives light, we dwell in His Kingdom of Light, where we reign over darkness and manifest His Glory (Psa.119:130). As Believers, God wants us to understand, recognise, and live as people who know that they’ve been delivered from the domain of darkness and lifted into realms of divine Light! We win by Light in the battles of life.

We are “a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people” ordained to “proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous LIGHT(v.9). We’ve been redesigned and commissioned to display the virtues and perfections of divinity. We manifest the power and excellence of Christ to everyone in our world. Beloved, let’s offer Thanks to the Lord for bringing us out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, to reign in life!

Our Vision

The vision of KCOM is that:
"the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the seas" (Habakkuk 2:14).
"But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord" (2 Corinthians 3:18).
