THE COVENANT-KEEPING GOD

Therefore know that the LORD your God, He is God, the FAITHFUL GOD who KEEPS COVENANT and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments – Deuteronomy 7:9

Our God is the God of Covenants.

He initiates, makes, and keeps covenants.

He is our Covenant-initiating God.

He is the Covenant-making God.

He is the Covenant-keeping God.

God’s Covenant-character hinges on His FAITHFULNESS and LOVING HEART. He is always out to meet the greatest needs of humanity in general, and His people, in particular. In turn, our ability to enjoy the fullest blessings of His covenants is based on LOVE for Him and OBEDIENCE to His Word.

God is deghted when you obey His commandments, keep His statutes, and observe His judgements (Dt.7:11-12). He will love, bless, and multiply you. He’ll guarantee your physical, material, and financial fruitfulness, divine health and wholeness (Dt.7:13-15).

The covenant-keeping God is the foundation of all of the assurance of those who trust in Jesus. God made covenants in the days of old and kept them. He gave promises to His prophets and kept them. Therefore, we can rest our souls on the assurance that He will not also break the covenant that He made with Christ: “This is My blood of the NEW COVENANT” (Mk.14:24). It was crystal clear that God would keep inviolate the new covenant He made by the blood of Christ and the promises that He made to the apostles. Praise God, He never broke the old covenant, and most assuredly, will never break the new! Never forget His Covenant-Word: "MY COVENANT I will not break, nor alter the WORD that has gone out of My lips" (Psa.89:34).
